Formal Summative Assessment Assignment:
This Assignment has two parts; Both parts should be completed on the provided template attached below. You will fill out your grade level, standard from week 1, and your informational text you chose.
In Part One: Create 1 short response question (this does NOT mean fill-in-the-blank) and 5 multiple choice questions (with at least 3 answer choices for each) to align with your standard and informational text. Provide clear instructions for your students to complete this summative assessment. Include an answer key or rubric with your assessment. In Part Two: In a 250-500 word rationale, describe the alignment between your informational text, reading informational standard, and your learning objective. Address the following questions for your rationale in separate paragraphs:
· What knowledge and skills are you trying to measure?
· Does your assessment effectively measure what you are looking for?
· Why did you choose this type of assessment?
· How is this assessment appropriate for the students in the “Class Profile”?
This Assignment does have a grading rubric that I will use to evaluate your submission. View the electronic rubric in the Topic 3 Loud Cloud drop-box folder. It is important that you begin now to review the Rubric before you complete your assignments. The Rubric shows exactly what I must grade. Find the Rubric in the upper-right hand corner of the Assignment Details.
