1. Consider the qualities that mark a leader—vision, ability, enthusiasm, stability, concern for others, self-confidence, persistence, vitality, charisma, and integrity. On the basis of these 10 qualities, who do you consider to be the best leader you have ever had?
2. Have you ever clashed with a supervisor or subordinate over leadership style? What were the dynamics and results?
3. Why would you want to be a leader—power, achievement, or affiliation? Does your work or personal life allow the expression of your social motives?
