In the quadrants below, please list what you perceive to be your internal Strengths and Weaknesses in your current role, as well as the external Opportunities and Threats that may impact your daily operations. Part of being a keen strategist is to be prepared to sell yourself in the competitive industry or field of interest. Remember, you are the product to the one who is interviewing you for the next step in your career. One way to sell the product (you) is to reflect upon where you currently are in your career through a Personal SWOT analysis. The Personal SWOT analysis template has some ideas for you to drawn from to get you started. You might want to strive to have at least five (5) items to list in each of the four quadrants. After completing the SWOT analysis, create an Outcome List in how you plan to transform at least two Weaknesses into Strengths, and at least two to transform from Threats into Opportunities. You will also need to include benchmarks (timelines) as to when you will start and complete each task. Learning Activity Checklist:

They are the attributes that are helpful to achieving the objectives.
It is therefore essential that I turn my weaknesses to strengths in the following ways;
1. I fear rejection of my ideas this has helped me have the ability to come up with creative and innovative ways of dealing with and impressing clients
2. I get over-committed which make me pursue things that may hit a dead end this has enabled me be very committed to my work and will face every day and every challenge with enthusiasm.
3. I get Stress arising from too much work which I have to this has taught me to have a passion for the carrier path I have chosen
4. I lack enough experience thus have learned to have an open mind when handling all situations and avoid being biased of resistance to change.
Therefore, I can take advantage of my strengths which include being creative, innovative and open-minded and the resources such as my education to maintain the strengths. I also need to minimize if not eliminate some of my main weaknesses such as being a perfectionist and over- commitment which may have a negative effect on my career. By avoiding any chances of confrontational encounters I will have avoided any conflicts.
Turning the threats into opportunities
Opportunities are “situations that present possibilities for exceeding existing goals” (Kinicki & Williams, 2009 p.206). Opportunities can present themselves in many different ways. Sometimes it can be by losing one resource you gain an opportunity to replace that resource with an even better resource. The other main most common type of opportunity is one that you yourself create. (Personal SWOT Analysis. (n.d.). In order to turn my threats to opportunities;
1. The competition that am facing has pushed me to attend workshops, seminars which have enabled me learn better ways of management and production.
2. Given that there are chances of having clients who are unhappy and unsatisfied, this will be an opportunity for me to extend more service them more and in a better way by pitching out more ideas and services to them to ensure that their needs are met
3. Having to deal with diverse clients is a chance to develop my relation skills as well as reach a diverse market for the company. It is therefore a chance to have diverse clientele for the company
Some of the treats that I face are people in the same field as mine with the same qualifications as well as inadequate experience in the field. However, the same education is also my main opportunity in which I have a solid platform to pursue my set goals and gain more knowledge on my line of work as well as gain experience.
