1) How will you be an outstanding representative/role model for Roseman University College of Pharmacy?
When I immigrated to United States, I was completely on my own and encountered many daunting challenges, each of which could have given me a reason to go back home. Figuring out how to culturally integrate myself in a new country with a new language, being away from my family and loved ones, attending school full-time, and working full time in order to support myself, have given me strong sense of responsibility. Despite all the hardships and difficulties, I started my journey of pursuing my college degree. Volunteering at the Health Center and pharmacy were the most meaningful experiences, giving me the opportunity to meet many patients with a wide range of illnesses and different levels of severity. I have gained the ability to develop values that are consistent with the trust given to the profession. I am professional in interactions with patients, in interactions with other healthcare, and in interactions with society.
2) Why would a student in Roseman University's PharmD program want you to be a member of her/his team?
I am a collegial team worker and have establish lasting friendships with my coworkers. When I take responsibility, I cannot rest until it is completed in the best way possible. My work ethic, strong sense of responsibility, and quick learning skills in new work environments have given me the ability to let others accept me as a team member . For example, in my science lab courses, students usually appointed me as their group leader because I am organized, have a solid grasp of the material, pay attention to detail, know how to assign work to students, and have a strong sense of how long a procedure will take.
