Saving Research from the AU Library
When trying to save articles or books you find in the AU Library, NEVER:
Bookmark or save the link for articles. The link will not work once your library session ends.
INSTEAD, save your research using one of the options below:
Save articles to the folders available within many of the databases (this requires first setting up a personal account within each database)
Email articles to yourself
Download and save articles or ebooks to your computer or cloud storage space.
Use the table below to learn how to use the folder features in the major library databases, along with other helpful tips for saving your research.

Click on Sign In link in upper right corner of screen
Click on Create a New Account
Add items to folder:
Click on folder icon to the right of each article title
Access saved items:
Click on Folder link in upper right corner of screen
Can also email articles to yourself: o Click on title of an article, then
click on Email link in Tools menu on right side of page (no account required)
ProQuest Click on My Research link in upper right corner of screen
Click on Create a My Research account
Add items to folder:
Select an article (either by checking the box next to the article from the results list, or by clicking on the article title)
Click on Save to My Research in light blue toolbar above the article
Access saved items:
Click on My Research link in upper right corner of screen
Can also email articles to yourself: o Click on title of an article, then
click on Email link in light blue toolbar above the article (no account required)
ebrary Click on Sign In link in upper right corner of screen
Click on Create Account
Add items to folder (bookshelf):
Click on Add to Bookshelf button from results list or from within the book itself
Access saved items:
Click on Bookshelf link at top of the screen
Can also download entire book to your computer for 14 days:
o Click on Download button, then follow instructions on screen (requires downloading Adobe Digital Editions software, which is free)
Can also download sections of the book as PDF:
o When reading the book, click Print icon in toolbar at top of page and select page range or chapter to create PDF, then save to your computer or to a cloud storage space
JSTOR SAGE
Not recommended (sign-in feature doesn’t work well and can cause problems when searching)
