After the problem has been marked wrong, students may work additional versions of the same kind of problem until they are successful. To get a new version of the problem, click on the “Similar Exercise” button. Students will be given credit once they answer a version correctly.

o Students may continue to work on the homework assignments after the posted due date without any penalty. Access to the homework assignments will expire Monday, December 10, 2018 11:59 PM EST.

o The student does not need to complete all homework problems in one session. The same homework problems and values will be available to the student the next time they access the homework assignment. Students may also print individual problems or entire assignments.

 MAKE-UP POLICY: In case of sudden illness or emergency, students must contact the instructor as soon as they realize that they are unable to take a test or the final exam at the scheduled time. Each case will be reviewed individually. Valid and detailed documentation is a prerequisite for scheduling a makeup exam under such extenuating circumstances.

 RESPECT: Students are expected to treat each other and the professor with the utmost respect.

 ACADEMIC INTEGRITY: While study groups are encouraged, unless otherwise announced by your instructor, all work turned in for a grade should be done independently. Any submission by a student of someone else’s work as his or her own or the use of any prohibited aids during testing constitutes cheating. This includes unauthorized use of a solutions manual, mathematical software or website. The student will earn a zero for that assignment and will be referred to the Dean’s Office. Upon the Attendance Verification Requirement is fulfilled, instructor will verify student attendance by August 28, 2018 11:59 PM EST (by midnight). The Financial Aid Office must verify that students receiving Title IV funds attend/ participate in class. Students must repay their Title IV funds if not attending class through the end of the withdrawal period. VIII. GRADING POLICY:

The course grade will be calculated based on: Homework Average 10% Quizzes Average 15% Tests Average 45% Discussion Board 5% Final Exam 25% Total 100% Before computing the homework average, the lowest two homework scores will be dropped. All test grades count toward the final grade. No test grades will be dropped. If a test is not taken, the assigned score for that test is zero. The final exam is weighted 25%. Additionally, before computing the final score for the course, the lowest score among the scores (test 1, test 2, test 3) will be replaced with the final exam score provided that the final exam score is higher than the lowest among those three scores. Final letter grade will be assigned according to the following scale:

90 - 100 = A 80 - 89 = B 70 - 79 = C 60 - 69 = D Below 60 = F

(Note: The “incomplete” grade [“I”] should be given only when unusual circumstances warrant. An “incomplete” is not a substitute for a “D,” “F,” or “W.” Refer to the policy on “incomplete grades.)
