I'm working on a english discussion question and need support to help me understand better.
Imagine Borges visits you in a dream and asks you, "How have these stories impacted your way of thinking, and how can you apply these stories to your own life?" He doesn't have all day, and he's frustrated by explanations that are not precise and methodical. As you answer him, consider the following list of points:
Answer his questions completely but precisely, drawing on what you learned from the coding exercise. Also, remember the guidelines we've explored about avoiding clutter in your writing.
Be sure to cite at least three details from his stories to substantiate your response, and show how each quote -- sequentially and methodically -- supports your idea.
Observe MLA guidelines regarding in-text citation. Incorporate at least one idea -- explaining whether you agree or disagree with it -- from my lecture. (I hope you talk to Borges about me!)
Be sure to entertain more exploratory questions or personal connections, as I did throughout the lecture. Any connections to Escher's drawings in the random entry?
Use deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning, each at least once, in your paragraphs. Place your deductive reasoning in bold and your inductive reasoning in italics.
At the end of your post, show your deductive reasoning in the form of an equation, as I have done in my examples (i.e. Whale = large fish, large fish = scales, etc.).
