The conceptualization process I have not used genogrmas yet A family tree, addiction, mental health and medical issues are  Genograms is a family tree where we can symbolize who lives with who understand the client on real time.   The males are always square and female are round.  It can be used to symbolize almost everything like abuse, describe the relationship and make a tree. We find a lot of information from the genograms  The top on the genograms PowerPoint is the parent.  Ds5 is an awesome book which talks about mental health, help insurance questions, cultural formation, understand the characters and many more . Soap note is also called progress note. Every time you meet with client, you need to make a soap note. Mental health status can be filled on it too. Don’t want to give too much information in Soap note Goal setting or a treatment plan. It should be measurable and desirable. Short time goal like getting housing, getting drivers license. Negative goals and positive goals. Goals should be specific such as walk 15 mins a day. If shouldn’t always be huge but achieve able. Yes I want to read the pre information on the client because I want to know about them and prepare myself to react accordingly.
