Develop an understanding and knowledge of employment laws, such as the Civil Rights Act (CRA) of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), affirmative action (AA), reverse discrimination, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) of 1963, sexual harassment, equal pay, and comparable worth. Describe and evaluate the use of compensation plans to achieve organizational goals. Describe and evaluate the role and future of unions in the United States and in a global environment. Describe and evaluate disciplinary systems. Explain the meaning of right to work in the United States today. Describe and explain the laws covering retirement systems and the types of retirement systems. Understand and develop an individual career plan.
