Proposal on project topic: Assessing the leadership styles of non-Profit organization & its impacts on overall business operations
Background of the study
Leadership is the quality that can support the organization to achieve its business objectives with success. A leader is a person who can lead a team on a specific roadmap to ensure the developmental targets primarily. Leadership is not a typical quality; it is an exceptional matter and existed in specific persons with the formulation of their attitudes and behaviors. A leader should be good in communication skills, and he can speak with his team members and convince them accordingly. Moreover, a leader should use the power of decision after listening and understanding the dispute matters, and this authority should be balanced for all employees equally (Yahaya, 2016). Likewise, an ethical approach is also an essential element to create good working relations between the team and its leader, as they should follow the code of conduct for ensuring the best performance.
According to Bill Taylor, "Leaders instill in their people a hope for success and a belief in their abilities. Positive leaders empower people to accomplish their goals (Anderson, 2017). “It means that a leader is empowering its team to perform in a positive way for the achievement of specific objectives without any complexity.” Therefore, the leader should be cooperative with team members by encouraging them with their positive skills. In the same way, the leader is also in the position to know the skills of his companions, which are ready to work according to the recommendation and suggestion of the leading personality.
According to Jim Rohn, "A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better (Bailey, 2019)." It is showing that leadership is a comprehensive strategy to bring betterment and development in the progress of an organization. The leader can use the right person for the completion of an appropriate task at a suitable time. This scenario is supporting the organization in effectively achieving its organizational goals. Moreover, the companies should be conscious of the recruitment of leaders of the departments with consideration of professional and occupational approaches.
In this discussion, we can conclude that leader is not a common man, and these qualities are showing the difference in leadership styles, which are formally known as autocratic, declarative, and democratic in the organizational structure. The difference of the organization about leadership style also has strong influences, and it is realizable with the consideration of the working routines of employees with the support of the employer. There are various organizations, which are weak in organizational structure but achieving their commercial goals effectively due to the exceptional performance of the leader (Alonderiene, 2016).
Meanwhile, the human resource department of such organizations is active in the selection of competent and skilled persons to lead the organization in complex and competitive scenarios. In this matter, the diversion of the type of organization has not any concern because the leading role is linked with specific conditions, which are essential in the achievement of organizational aims (Asrar-ul-Haq, 2016). The non-profit organization in this matter has some different perceptions about leadership styles, and these are imperative to manage the business operating standards comfortably. Therefore, organizational structure should be balanced by the participation of all elements, as it is the recommended way to maintain the organization in a better way. Each department of the organization should participate in the performance and achieve the proposed objectives certainly (Priest, 2017).
