Content: A written report of 1500-2000 words 

 Background: 

VU is a multi-campus, multi-country, multi-disciplinary school experiencing rapid growth.

Your group has been given the responsibility for formulating the future IT Strategy for VU in the year 2030 that addresses the following critical IT matters:

1. Educational Transactions (how education is delivered)

2. Infrastructure (especially IAAS)

3. DM (Data Management)

4. MDM (Mobile Device Management)

5. Governance/IT Maturity Level

6. CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

7. Risk/Security/Privacy

8. Social/Environmental Aspects

For each of these categories, you are to describe:

The AS-IS situation

The TO-BE goal 

The How-To IT solutions used to attain the TO-BE goal – with special attention to IT methodology, planning, creation of policies trends and future innovations.

You may make assumptions about the AS-IS situation without attempting to do any direct research (e.g. it is almost a certainty that VU has multiple stand-alone databases at multiple locations). As long as you describe them.

You may make assumptions about the form of the TO-BE goal (be as inventive as you like). As long as the innovations to achieve this are described.

 
Report Style Written Report Format: 

A written, business style report with:

• A cover pages

• Title

• Unit name and number

• Student name and numbers

• A Table of Contents

• A less than one-page introduction

• A section for each of the 8 topics listed above

• A less than one-page summary

Formatted as:

o A4 size, .pdf format

o Body text in 12ptCalibri font (heading may be bigger)

o 2.54cm Margins all round

o Line spacing 1.5

o A blank line between paragraphs (paragraphs do not need to be indented)

o Spell checked

o And proof read by a native English speaking person

Diagrams, pictures and figures are encouraged.

Referencing:

 This is a business style report, not a research document

 Academic referencing will not be required

 Nor will a reference or reading list
