Direction,
Assessment task:
A portfolio task with several elements to address in your researched report.
You are asked to write a report for the HR Director based on your 2020 research into one of the company types listed below. You must record your research stages in the appendix, referring to it within your report.
The HR director would like you to identify and justify appropriate models of Selection to fit with the graduate role you have identified. The competences expected for the Recruitment stage should be put into a table in the Appendix and referred to appropriately. Only models taught on the module are viable and all must be fully referenced.
The graduate role you identify as required in the organisation should have a JD (job description) and PS (person specification) to be included in your appendices (v and vi). The JD and PS in chapter 2 refer to the theory around these areas. It should be a new role and one you could apply for.
You will also guide the HR
Director in how to better lead the graduate trainees recruited into the organisation. You can choose which models of Leadership and Strategic HRM
you have to create a new graduate role

2.1 Job Description and Person Specification
Literature to support the approach you have taken and refer to the JD and PS practical outlines in your appendices (v and vi)
2.2 Selection Model Selected
Justify why this model is useful from the journal literature. You will require specific selection models from those taught on the module. They should be appropriate to a graduate role which has development to managerial potential. Think about how you will assess the graduate candidate for developing leadership skills.
Refer to the Recruitment competences you have identified and suggest why they prompt this selection approach.
