Tuckman's Team Development
Seems simple enough, does it not? This week we look at how to recognize developmental stages of teams so that we can better understand that they are critical to team development. Because success in athletic competition depends on how well teams perform, we will be looking at an example from the sports world.
Remember the Titans
Many of you may have seen this popular movie on TV, Netflix, etc. The movie is set in Virginia in 1971, a turbulent time of school desegregation. The actual high school depicted in the movie is T.C. Williams High School. If you haven't seen the entire movie, you might find it a nice diversion. In addition to the great plot, it is considered by those teaching leadership and organizational theory and behavior to be a classic teaching tool.
You will need to download Microsoft Silverlight to your PC or Mac to view the movie (Silverlight is free).
