• What distinctive aspects of LLU school of pharmacy are significant to you? All aspects of Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy are significant to me, but there are two aspects that appeal to me the most. The fact that they respect the rich of diversity of beliefs that are represented among the student population The first aspect is faith, LLU is committed to faith in God and respect for the rich diversity of beliefs that are represented among the student population. We view the various perspectives of each spiritually committed student as enriching our campus and opening us to new ways of knowing God. Here on campus you’ll find a unique learning experience focused on whole person care and furthering the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. I also like the religion courses with the goal of integrating faith and learning. The second aspect of Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy that most appeals to me is dedicating to whole person care. The mission of the School of Pharmacy is to educate and train pharmacists within a Christian environment so that they can become caring competent health care professionals. My beliefs and values are aligned with what this university is promoting. I like the fact that they do not only look at not only medications, or pharmacologic therapies but they also look at overall wellness rather just one aspect of it. you should also show how you’ll add to the school’s diversity. If you’re a Seventh-day Adventist, suggest 1-2 ways that your faith and religious practices differ from the norm. If you have a separate faith altogether, assert 1-2 ways that your unique perspective could enhance Loma Linda’s values or goals. When explaining your “diversity,” try to convey a synergy with the school’s culture despite the apparent differences that exist Our fully integrated, faith-based environment offers you exceptional academic training with a focus on the physical, mental, social and spiritual dimensions of health. You will serve as an integral member of a health care team committed to whole person care. you should still share a bit about your own faith and explain why you’re seeking an education with a religious or spiritual distinction. Besides abstract connections to the school’s mission and values, you should also establish concrete connections with their opportunities, such as research, mission trips, and community volunteering. Bridge your past experiences to your future contributions at Loma Linda • Discuss how your spiritual experience has influenced your daily life and been integrated into your choice of pharmacy as a career? My spiritual experience has influenced my life since the day of epiphany; the moment when I grasped the importance of my faith. When I was little, I immigrated from Iraq to the U.S. with my parents to find religious freedom and a better life.
