Leadership Style
The leadership style depends on the situation and the people being led. A leader may prefer to use a style he has read about or that which he has seen elsewhere. Most leaders use several leadership styles in their leadership journey, but there is always that one leadership style that dominates. Several leadership styles are commonly used like autocratic and authoritarian, democratic and participative and finally, the laissez-faire leadership style. There is a criterion used to determine one's leadership style by answering some questions and interpreting the scores. Having scored 69% after answering the question is interpreted that I am a leader who uses the more democratic and participative leadership style. This is true because I involve my members though I am the one giving directions and making decisions. (mindtools,2020)
Driving innovation is one of the key tools of leadership that one needs to have. In a democracy, if a leader gives the right direction to his people and gives them an opportunity to be innovative and creative, they will positively impact technology.in my leadership I will impact the technology using democracy by expanding internet access in order to connect easily with my members. (Gandolfi et al., 2018)
I would use the democratic style in my organization by giving directions to my members on how to work as a team to promote cohesiveness and ensure that every member participates in running of the organization. I will also try as much as I can to be open to reduce the gap between members and me as their leader and in case of any conflicts, I will solve them amicably without favors.
