Personal Manifesto

In this assignment, you are to write a 500-word essay entitled “My Manifesto for Global Health.” Use correct APA format, which includes a cover page and a references page. Your sections should include each of the following:

.an introduction, 

.eight factors of healthcare systems,

.greatest realizations,

.areas where you can influence healthcare, 

.your statements of declaration, and 

.a conclusion.

Of these, devote the majority of your effort (and word count) to the declaration statements.

There is really no right or wrong way to write a manifesto; the style of it is up to you. You may want to make it very straightforward or launch into impassioned arguments for why you believe in each principle. One way to write your declaration statements is to use bulleted, short sentences. Start with a blank piece of paper in front of you and begin to write (pen/pencil or type it on the computer). Write down your beliefs, motives, and intentions about how you view the overall condition of global healthcare and true access to health care. As you think about issues within health care in general or in the global sense, write down sentences that begin with such statements as “I will”, “I believe”, “I will not”, “I support”, and other action words.

Once completed, these declaration statements become the foundation of your manifesto. The other sections of the paper will support and explain your declarations.

This assignment requires you to find at least one peer-reviewed journal article from the CSU Online Library. Search on topics such as “manifesto”, “global health”, and “healthcare” followed by name of any of the countries we studied in this course. For example, “healthcare Japan” will result in a large number of available articles. Other topics to search can be found in the “key terms” area of each Unit Lesson. Incorporate this information into your manifesto as a source document. Your textbook should be used as a secondary resource for this assignment.
