Introduction:
Beautiful and smart individuals are praised everywhere and by everybody. They not only achieve
their goals of life in an efficient and successful way but also influence others in a constructive
manner. People want to be like those individuals who inspire them through their intellectual
capabilities and physical appearance. (Pathos)You can also obtain this admiration by following
an exercise regimen. It not only improves your physical appearance but also makes you smart.
Transition: Today, I will talk about the ways by which exercise boosts up your mental wellbeing
and physical appearance.
Body:
I: Exercise, a successful method to enhance mental health [Write all points in complete

A: Increased level of Dopamine, Serotonin and Endorphins
1. Exercise rises the level of serum calcium which is transferred to cerebrum (Logos). It
further intensifies the production of dopamine through a mechanism which is based on a

protein responsible for binding calcium (Sutoo and Akiyama. 2003). The improved level
of dopamine governs different intellectual operations. [Write one sentence per point.]
2. Serotonin is another significant chemical that is produced naturally in the body (Logos).
It is not only effective improving mood, but it also minimizes the probability of
depression in the future (Young. 2007). (Logos) According to recent researches, the level
of 5- HIAA and serotonin is increased through exercise in various parts of the brain that
includes cortex and hippocampus (Young. 2007).
3. (Logos) Endorphins are very efficacious in the treatment of brain diseases for example
depersonalization. In depersonalization, the individuals feel indifferent towards
themselves and the world (Hayes and Ross. 2017). These endorphins are released by the
body during exercise.
B: Improved memory and thinking skills
1. (Logos)Exercise is useful in minimizing insulin refusal, decreases inflammation and
triggers the production of growth chemicals that further enhances the development of
blood tubes in and vigour of the cells in brain (Godman. 2014). It strengthens cognition.
2. (Logos)Different researches indicate that the areas of brain which command memory and
thinking have substantial capacity in those people who exercise regularly as compared to
those individuals who do not exercise (Godman. 2014).
Transition: Now I will like to tell you about how exercise can assist you in achieving an
attractive appearance (Pathos).
II: Exercise magnifies physical appearance
A: Upgraded self-confidence and glowing skin

1. (Logos)Exercise increases self-esteem of the people by reducing depression and
improving their mental wellbeing. When your mental health is improved by exercise then
you feel stronger and become able to combat various issues in life effectively. Self-esteem
performs a significant role in magnifying your physical appearance.
2. (Pathos)Exercise increases blood flow that carries nutrients and oxygen across the body.
It gives more sparkling and younger looking skin to the individuals.
B: Weight loss is crucial for enhancing physical appearance
1. (Ethos)A variety of exercise classes like aerobics, Yoga and Pilates etc. are useful in
losing weight by burning extra calories (Bangay. 2017). When your body is in shape then
it makes you physically more attractive.
2. (Pathos)Fashion choices of the people improve after losing weight because they can fit to
any size and it makes them physically more appealing (Tondl and Henneman. 1994).
Transition: Here I will ask a question from you. “Will you like to sit idle at home or will hit the
gym as soon as possible to be an attractive and healthy person?” (Pathos) And if you are still not
sure about it then please consider my experience of working as a fitness trainer (Ethos).
Conclusion:
(Ethos) On the basis of my expertise and rigorous research, I conclude that exercise is necessary
for improving mental as well as physical health. You only need to attain the services of a fitness
trainer who can recommend a variety of classes to suit your schedules and needs. You can make
yourself as a mentally healthy and physically attractive individual just by making a decision
(Pathos). So, choose a healthy alternative over a lethargic lifestyle and be a first person to take
the initiative! (Pathos).
