PPT psychology

Your assignment will be to choose a topic from below and do a short power point presentation of 10-15 minutes in length.

1. Overview of Jean Piaget and how he contributed to the field of childhood cognitive development. Also, what do you think of his theory and what did his critics think?

2. Overview of Eric Erickson and how he contributed to the theory of development as it pertains from childhood through adulthood. What do you think of his theory?

3. Overview of Freud's theory. What do you think? How did he contribute to the field of psychology?

4. Mary Ainsworth and the Attachment Theory.  What are the types of attachment, how do they contribute to a person's attachment with others? 

5. Mary Baumrind, Parenting Styles- What are they and how do they impact a child?

We will discuss all of these in class on Tuesday. But, there is a plethora of information out there. Each has a number of stages and a strong history within the field of psychology.  The topics are not absolute.  We will be discussing the theories in class.  Thus, your only real topic is the individual and how they relate to the field.  You can take this in any direction you might find interesting.

POWER POINT SLIDES PRESENTATION with enough material to speak on the above chosen topic

intro of Topic chosen slide, conclusion slide and reference slide mandatory 

TOTAL 5 to 6 slides REQUIRED with enough material to present for 15 minutes in class
