Part 1
Please fully address all questions listed for the two case studies below. Please write your answers in a word document and make sure to fully explain each question. Your response for each case should be around 150-200 words. For any question that requires calculation, please make sure to include your solution step by step.
1. We use functions to model relationships between two variables with available data to better understand the relationship and, in many cases, to predict values. The graph of a function is an important tool for analyzing the function’s behavior.
The following graph, created using data from a 1999 article in The New York Times, represents the television audience of nightly news programs from three major broadcast networks from 1980 to 1998.
What information can you obtain from the graph above? Try to list at least 3 facts about the television audience of nightly news programs from the three major broadcast networks shown on the graph above. For example, you can say from 1985-1986, all three networks were losing viewers.
2.
If you were asked to conduct a Student-Faculty Ratios analysis base on the table shown above, what information could you get out of it? Find the student-faculty ratios for each University listed. Which Universities have the highest and lowest student-faculty ratios? Please explain your results and interpret their meaning. Then consider how this analysis can help Universities or Students make data-driven decisions.
Part 2
Base on your answer in part 1, please create a PowerPoint presentation presenting your conclusions. The presentation should include at least one slide for each of the case studies examined in Part 1. Record a voice over narrating your presentation using either the built in presentation recording feature in PowerPoint, or by using a third party application, such as screencastomatic.com. Your presentation should be between 7 – 15 minutes in duration.

Your final submission should include both a Word document containing your answers for Part 1 as well as the PowerPoint required in Part 2.
