Red Zuma Project Part 1
1. When is the project estimated to be completed? How long will the project take? The Red Zuma project will take 260 days and be completed on January 11, 2016.
2. What is the critical path for the project?
Market Analysis Product Design Product Design Selection Detailed Product Design Build Prototypes Field Test Prototypes Finalized Product Design Final Manufacturing Process Order Production Equipment Install Production Equipment Celebrate
3. Which activity has the greatest amount of slack? Detailed Marketing plan has the greatest amount of slack with 179 days.
4. How sensitive is this network? It is relative not sensitive. There is one critical and a wide range of free slack.
5. Identify two sensible milestones and explain your choices. The two most sensible mile stones are Product design selection and finalized product design because they are true milestones for this project. Selecting a product design, a milestone that must be accomplished before the project can get started. The finalized product design serves a milestone because this step must be completed way before the manufacturing can begin and after the design is complete

Red Zuma Project Part 2A
1. Which if any of the resources are overallocated? Marketing specialists, Design engineer, and industrial engineer are all overallocated.
2. Assume that the project is time constrained and try to resolve any overallocation problems by leveling within slack. What happens? By leveling within the slack, it might be possible to cut out the marketing specialist. But, this would not fix the issue of the over allocation of the Design engineer and the industrial engineer.
3. What is the impact of leveling within slack on the sensitivity of the network? The impact of leveling within slack is that it will increase the sensitivity of the project network.

4. Assume that the project is resource constrained and no additional personnel are available. How long will the project take given the resources assigned? The estimated time for project completion would be March 18, 2016 and it would take approximately 312 days to complete the Red Zuma project.

5. How does the new duration compare with the estimated completion date generated from Part 1? What does this tell you about the impact resources can have on a schedule? This would change the completion date from 1/11/16 to 3/1/16 and add 46 days to the projects estimated completion time.
Red Zuma Project Part 2B
1. What was the impact of introducing Start-to-Start lags to the schedule and budget? If you use the start-to-start lags, this will help reduce the project time at no real cost and would be a more efficient way to fast track the Red Zuma project.
2. Which, if any additional personnel assignments, would you choose to complete the project before the January 17th deadline? Explain your choices as well as the reasons for not choosing other options. If you add an additional industrial engineer the red Zuma Project could be better. By adding an extra engineer could help the promptness of the bulk of the work and the timeliness of the estimated time of completion. Also, they do not cost as much as development and design engineers.
3. How have these changes affected the sensitivity of the network and the critical path? The critical path would change to the below:
Product Design Product Design Selection Build Prototypes Manufacturing Process Finalized Product Design Final Manufacturing Process Order Production Equipment Install Production Equipment Celebrate
