Greetings and welcome to our online CS 101 course! To get started in the course, please complete the following tasks listed in the Course Info area of Blackboard: 1. Read through our course syllabus thoroughly. It provides important information about the required textbooks and SAM Access Code. It also explains the grading and late work policies/procedures. 2. Read and print out the assignment instructions. For each module, I provided detailed instructions on what you need to do. 3. Read and print out the course schedule. I have a calendar that lists the due dates/times for the course. 4. Please be sure that you obtain the course materials ASAP from the ECC North Bookstore. Once you have obtained the materials, please register in SAM. Our Institution Key for Erie Community College is: T2021869. Please follow the instructions in the SAM Registration Instructions guide and you will be registered in SAM! Cengage SAM provides a variety of videos that will help you get acclimated with the program and you can review them here: https://www.cengage.com/services/product/sam/general/student 6. You are NOT permitted to complete this course with a temporary access code. You must purchase the access code and pay for it or you will earn a final letter grade of F in this course. 7.
