Case: Sirtris Pharmaceuticals: Living healthier, longer
The objective of the analysis is to respond to the case questions in a logical and structured manner. All arguments should be logically sound and supported by evidence from the case whenever possible.
Note: Failure to submit all three case analyses, regardless of any reason, will result in a failing grade.

Instructions
Read the case study thoroughly, then answer the questions below.
When responding, consider all details of the case study, and consider the information provided in the course so far. Feel free to use the text, references, and any other legitimate outside sources you find useful. Provide citations for the information provided. Your analysis should not exceed 1,000 words.
Your case analysis will include three elements: problem statement, analysis, and your recommendations. For each element, pay attention to the following points:
Problem statement
Read the case and define the scope of the problem. Identify the different aspects of this problem. Include relevant information from the case.
Analysis
Focus your analysis on addressing the questions raised and the scope of the problem. Indicate key factors and mechanisms that are important for answering your case questions. Discuss different perspectives and approaches to addressing the problem.
Sirtris Study Questions:
Assess the odds that Sirtris will generate substantial revenues when Westphal joins. If you were Westphal, would you have left Polaris?
Should Sirtris do the deal with pharma? If you recommend the deal, what equity stake (20% or 51%) would you prefer? Why?
Should Sirtris launch an SRT501 nutraceuticals business? Justify your answer.
Suggest a launch plan for the nutraceuticals business if you think Sirtris should do it.
Recommendations
Suggest recommendations that follow logically from your analysis. Discuss implementation issues.
