The top five stories of Sunday, June 11, 2017: "Hurricane Irma Churns the Atlantic”, “North Korea Announces Successful Hydrogen Bomb Test”, “DOJ Confirms Trump Was Never Wiretapped, “President Weighs Immigration Decision”, and “Utah Nurse Arrested For Refusing To Give Patient’s Blood To Police”.
The story I that I felt was the most interesting was the story about North Korea on the verge of perfecting its usage of hydrogen bombs. The story opens with Korea’s leader, Kim Jon Un, meeting with nuclear scientist and monitoring their work on the hydrogen bomb that rivals that used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WW2. After doing many tests with the missiles on Korean soil, President Trump responds to rumors of him attacking North Korea with the remark “We’ll see.”. Finally, the story ends on the note of Kim Jon Un preparing for a nuclear test that will determine if the warhead is capable of being flown intercontinentally.
I feel that this is a sad use of power by Kim Jon Un. He is the leader of the country and should be guiding his people in a different way other than trying to start a war. Our president should not even entertain the rumors because it could make Kim Jon Un mad.
