Lab%Description:%% % The!lab!component!of!General!Biology!will!reinforce!concepts!covered!in!the!lecture!portion!of!the!course.!Labs!will! emphasize!scientific!methodology,!allowing!you!many!opportunities!to!practice!thinking!like!a!scientist.!Lab!modules! typically!span!several!weeks,!and!each!will!address!a!different!theme!while!developing!your!research!skills.!%
% This%lab%is%a%hybrid%course.%Hybrid%Instruction%refers%to%the%blending%of%classroom5based%instruction%with%instruction%via% other%media.%In%today's%world%that%media%is%general%understood%to%be%the%Web.%However,%hybrid%instruction%has%been% taking%place%for%centuries%with%books,%videos%and%print%material%being%an%integral%part%of%the%instruction.%The%lab%portion% of%this%course%is%composed%of%alternating%online%and%in5person,%face5to5face%(F2F)%lab%sessions.%During%online%weeks,% activities%will%be%completed%entirely%through%the%lab%Moodle%shell;%During%F2F%lab%weeks,%your%lab%section%will%meet%in%the% lab%classroom%to%complete%hands5on%collaborative%activities.%All%quizzes%and%written%assignments%for%both%the%online%and% F2F%lab%sections%will%be%managed%and%turned%in%through%MOODLE.%% !
