Space exploration through social science lens

Student’s Name Institution Date This presentation aims at explaining the topic space exploration and how it is viewed through science lens and history lens. I chose this topic due to my great interest in what really happens in the universe and the outer space. Although there has been a lot of research of the space and its constituents the information available is so little therefore leaving a man with more questions than answers. This topic also enables me to learn more about the questions I have about the space and in so doing satisfy my thirst for the knowledge about space exploration. • • NASA has developed several green technologies that we are using now to assist in improving environmental sustainability. Solar designs are examples of the green technologies. Natural scientists can make use of graphs, recorded experiment, and scientific data to view space exploration        History can be used to explain different events that occurred in the history of space exploration. These events include : In 2007, UN general assembly suggested mitigation guidelines that resulted to a 10 years plan adopted by the U.S The first space debris was cataloged by the US in 1957 European Ariane upper stage exploded in November 1986. Major countries came together to approve the idea of putting guidelines in place The first ever mitigation guideline was put in to action by NASA in 2002. Through the history lens space exploration can be studied using scholarly articles and books or historical artifacts Convergence The two lenses are focusing on the achievements of space exploration and its contribution to life on earth. Divergence Science lenses uses recorded experiments, graphs , scientific data, videos and photos to view space exploration whereas history lens uses scholarly articles, books and historical artifacts in viewing space exploration.   To further my knowledge about space exploration my next step will be to research on Which other planet can support life? Mars Life on other planets  Is this topic of space exploration an issue of interest to all countries or it is for the developed nations only.   Space exploration has enable human beings to answer several fundamental questions regarding the outer space. It is important to space exploration through different liberal arts lenses because it helps in identifying important aspects that are different from one lens, it also equips a researcher with important skills in learning concepts associated with a topic.   Launius, R.
