3. Read the boxed Solve the Dilemma discussion on page 292 of the text.

5. Read the Responding to Business Challeneges below on page 2 of this Outline. Also review the Wall Street Journal article linked to below.

Assignment 9 Requirements
1. Develop written responses for the Critical Thinking Questions related to the Solve the Dilemma issue on page 292 of the text.
2. Develop written responses for the questions below regarding the Responding to Business Challenges shown below assuming your job is one that could be done from home:
2-1: Discuss whether, if given the opportunity, you would choose to work-at-home for some or all of your weekly work schedule.
2-2: What would be the benefits to you and your employer? The disadvantages to you and your employer?
2-3: What effect do you feel reversing a company’s work-from-home policy would have on employee motivation?
3. Develop written responses for the following related to Table 9.5 on page 288 of the text:
3-1: Identify which type of Motivational Strategy is used by each company based on the strategies/theories outlined in the table.
3-2: List the top three Motivational Strategies described in the Table in terms of which would motivate you the most. Briefly explain why.
3-3: Discuss how difficult it may be for employers to determine which Motivational Strategy to offer employees based on demographics, length of service, job descriptions, and other employment variables.
4. Develop written responses for the three Discussion Questions found in Chapter 9 for the See for Yourself Videocase questions on page 293 of the text.
