The Theoretical Rationale section of your paper should be a thoughtful, original, and in-depth argument for WHY the theory you selected will be successful in persuading your target audience to do what your campaign is trying to persuade them to do.
1. What is your campaign goal?
2. On what theory do you think your group should base its campaign? If your group has already made this decision, on what theory will your group base its campaign?
3. Provide me one good reason WHY you think this theory will be most effective in persuading your target audience to do what you are advocating in your campaign.
4. Please find one peer-reviewed journal article that can be used as evidence to support the reason you listed above. Make sure the journal article you find is on the use of your theory and NOT an article on your problem. If you can find a journal article that uses your theory to solve the exact problem you want to solve, then you hit the jackpot! In most cases, however, such an article may not exist. For that reason, you will need to look for an article that uses the theory to persuade a target audience on a topic similar to yours. You can then make an argument for why you would expect similar results in your campaign. For the journal article, you find, please:
a. Provide a full APA style citation
b. Explain how and why this particular journal article can be used as evidence to support the use of your theory in your campaign.
