The castle doctrine is the law of self defense, which states that a person has the right to use a deadly force to defend in his house. The reason why it was amended was:
1) To give citizens more right to defend themselves without retreating as it was in the old castle law .
2) The amendment included every property and at any place a person have right to be, he can use deadly force without retreating.
3) The amendment allowed the property owner to shoot even when they are not sure the person has a gun is harmful and go free from being prosecuted.
The case of George Zimmerman vs Trayvon Martins , were Mr Zimmerman has every opportunity to retreat and avoid the use of deadly force (Gun), also audit the 911 statement was unreliable, also the police told him not come out from his car, and the police chief pointed out that his account was not straight in two occasions he failed to identify himself as a community watch officer and recommended him be charged with manslaughter. The who did not pay a visit to the sight also complicated Martins case.
