Reflective practice is crucial in education and becomes the foundation for ongoing growth and development as a professional. By this phase in the student teaching experience, you have analyzed how your teaching performance and practice affect student learning. You now have the opportunity to reflect on how you plan to continue growing in your practice and how to utilize school/district, academic, and personal resources to help you continue to grow as a professional educator.

For this assignment, you will create a 2-3 minute video describing your role as a teacher candidate who embodies the College of Education’s philosophy to learn, lead, and serve.

In the video, include the following:

• The ways in which your teaching philosophy has developed and grown throughout student teaching, including examples.


• A description of how technology can be used to create better learning opportunities for all students.


• Strategies for implementing the Christian worldview values of compassion, promoting human flourishing, and behaving legally and ethically in your future classroom (feel free to add additional Christian worldview values you would like to integrate).

Remember, video and audio quality are important and should be taken into consideration. Ensure your video is filmed with sufficient lighting and the volume is adequate for viewers to hear. Intonation, expression, proper speech, and professional attire are expected.

Use an online video platform such as Loom, YouTube, or Vimeo to upload your completed video. Ensure that others can access and view your linked video prior to submitting to the LMS.

If you upload your video to YouTube, select the “unlisted” option.

Submit the portfolio link to the LMS in a word document.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

Assignment 3

This is a Collaborative Learning Community (CLC) assignment.

During Quarter 4, you and your team will present a marketing plan that will qualify you for funding from venture capitalists. Follow the instructions in the Conscious Capitalism simulation and the guidance of your instructors when preparing and presenting the plan. In addition, you are to complete the Quarter 4 decisions in the Conscious Capitalism simulation and submit the decisions by the deadline shown in the simulation.

Submit the marketing plan in LoudCloud.

The marketing plan must be written to the parent company board of directors in the simulation. The marketing plan is to be written in formal business language as an executive summary and will include the following:

1. A financial and market performance report to date.


2. Strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of customers, competition, company strengths and weaknesses, and major threats and opportunities for the upcoming year.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
