Hi Sam, this is your supervisor Ron Miller calling. I learned in this morning’s manager meeting, subtle changes have been made to the company vacation policy. I am calling to alert you to the new vacation policy and the new regulations being implemented. In the new vacation policy, employees with three or less years of service will now have one full week of paid vacation. Employees that have between three and five years of service will now have two full weeks of paid vacation. While employees with five years or more service will be offered three full weeks of paid vacation. In accordance with this new policy, employers must now submit a vacation request at least one month prior to the vacation date. Employees are also required to submit a vacation request to their direct supervisor. Keep in mind though that no more than two employees from any one department can be on vacation at the same time. Since these policy updates are being implemented very soon, I need for you to write and send a notification email to our department members about these policy changes. In your email please address all of the vacation policy changes I shared with you and make sure you use the correct email format as you work on this. I would also like you to follow the appropriate netiquette rules for electronic communication and ensure that your email is one to two paragraphs in length and meets the two hundred fifty to three hundred word minimum. If you could have this email written and sent out today that would be fantastic. Thank you for taking care of this for our department. Have a great day.
