Well Done! Trans. Excellent use of transition word/phrase to connect your thoughts and ideas from one sentence and or paragraph to the next.
Citation Plagiarism You need to cite your sources. This is very important to give credit to the author(s) from where you came to know this information. It is better to over cite than to under cite, even if you cite every sentence. By not doing so it is considered plagiarism. Here is an online tutorial to help clarify the components of plagiarism. http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/plagiarism/
Cite Improper citation: Improperly cited material. Please use the link below to find links to information regarding specific citation styles: http://www.plagiarism.org/citing-sources/citation-styles
Include citation for paraphrasing This section appears to rely on paraphrasing a source, as it refers to someone else's ideas. When sharing ideas from another author, credit the author with an appropriate citation. Cite the author properly at the end of this paraphrased section.
Citations: Why They are Important Here is a weblink to read about why citations are important. It is imperative to cite each and every sentence where the info provided is not your own, in other words the info was found from an outside source. To not do so, is to claim the work as your own and thus, not give appropriate credit to the author(s) from where your thoughts/opinions were derived. This is considered academic dishonesty, even if unintentional. http://web.grinnell.edu/Dean/Tutorial/EUS/IC.pdf

This is not the assignment, you are to read Schultz & Schultz and gather your information from the assigned textbook. You may supplement the source but definitely you may not replace the source

Focus on task This section seems to be off-topic. Your essay needs to address the writing task. Reread the prompt question and stay focused on what the prompt asks you to do.

The purpose of this paper is psychology and how philosophy and physiology shaped the field of psychology. Understanding Chinese influences is not the purpose of this paper. Psychology was developed in the western world not in the eastern world

Hello Cherie, I hope you are doing well. I am disappointed in the outcome of your grade for this assignment, because you do have areas where the info you presented that is related to the assignment instructions, was done well. See above. At the same time, you are missing several components of the assignment; a discussion of another philosopher, a discussion of physiology and two theorists from the discipline. In addition you are missing any reference to your textbook which is the backbone of this assignment. The assignment instructions clearly state to cite your text as your main source. You are also missing citations throughout, which is considered plagiarism or academic dishonesty. I want to partner with you to help you be successful in this class, that is my highest goal is student success. And, it is critical to review comments, use your textbook, follow the assignment and ask questions if you need any help in understanding what I am asking for. I am hear to help and readily available nearly anytime of the day or evening--so please reach out. Thank you! 206-830- 0589. Professor D'Angelo
