I feel blessed to have been given numerous opportunities in the area of leadership because many of the memorable successes I have had in life stem from taking full advantage of such chances. One such event dates back to my senior year in high school in Iran. In a final match that was to determine the nation’s number one soccer team, my coach chose me to take the final, decisive penalty kick. Nevertheless, I have accepted my colleague’s vote to lead our club for the upcoming semester because I love to join hands with others to make a meaningful difference. My accomplishments in leadership illustrate my strong sense of social responsibility and unremitting commitment to benefit my community. And I am confident that I can achieve new heights as a student leader at the University of California. ...
