Once you have read the information about “Writing an Effective Paragraph,” submit the practice assignment below by completing the following:
1. Open Microsoft Word. 2. Type your name at the top of the page. 3. Consider what you have learned about effective writing in this orientation course. 4. Write two paragraphs that briefly define effective writing in your own words
and identify your writing strengths and weaknesses. 5. Please make sure this is your original work. For more information on plagiarism and
academic integrity, please visit Student Conduct! in the catalog. 6. Name your file and save it on your computer with the naming convention
PG160_Last NameFirst Name (remember where you saved it).
Submit your practice assignment via the Course Dropbox using the instructions below:
1. Select the Effective Writing Assignment Dropbox. 2. Review the assignment directions and enter a brief note to the instructor in the
Comment Box (e.g., “Attached is my writing assignment.”) 3. Select the Add a File button. 4. Select the upload button. Find the file you saved. 5. Double click on your file name. 6. Select the Add button. 7. Select Submit.
