This is where I live and work. Lookout Mountain, TN is a very wealthy community dating back centuries. Part of my job is business development, which includes a large marketing component. Consumers in this area tend to snub their noses at commercial establishments over their preferred local businesses. Because it is an older community as a general rule, print media is one of the best methods of marketing as “the mountain keeps to itself.” Consumers in this area prefer high end merchandise but also put a significant value on the service and support behind what they are purchasing.
The Country Squires demographic makes me chuckle because Chattanooga, TN is home to the VW manufacturing plant, and the CEO of VM America has a home on the top of Lookout Mountain – there are as many VW’s on the road here as there are highline cars.
