The Final Project offers you an opportunity to present your version of the American Dream. Depending on your area of study, this project encourages you to be creative and exhibit your skills. If you study animation or film, use your skills to present in your chosen format. If you work in audio sound, perhaps you can create a new song and share it with us, exemplifying your feelings for the American Dream. Or if you study fashion or interior design look for ways to show us what the complete dream looks like in your world. Magazines have always shown versions of the American Dream and lifestyle. If you are a culinary student, how can you create food or a menu that shows your version of the American Dream?
In addition to the creative part of this project, you need to incorporate the course topics into your content, ie: archetypes, mythology, the Hero's Journey. This can be a short summary, an analogy, or a concept that is realized with your idea of the American Dream. For example, if you are presenting a design, show how the design relates to the concept of mythology. How does the myth become a reality? Don't just rely on an image to say everything. Be clear with your intent so the viewer understands what you are saying.
Be smart. Challenge yourself.
Hopefully we can have a festival of sorts where everyone shares their work at the end Perhaps we can go live during certain times of the week. We will see as we progress.
Enjoy your effort.
Remember work needs to be compatible with Bright Space, so Movie (mp4) works with sound. Images and text in PowerPoint are fine but realize, sound and video clips do not play in ppt within the BrightSpace format once it leaves your computer. Any questions let me know.
