Whole food market began in Austin in early 1980s. Wholesale Market is one of the leading retail companies in the field of organic/carbon-based food supermarket. The whole food company is known for its delivery of high-quality natural food with fewer chemicals as well as preservatives. Additionally, the company has introduced or established its brand of organic food (Karimkhani, Huff, & Dellavalle, 2014).
Core values of the whole food company are:
· Providing natural and organic food.
· Providing high quality, least manufactured, appetizing naturally preserved as well as fresh food accessible.
· Continual effort making with the aim of promoting healthier eating varieties internationally.
· Selling high quality organic and natural food product available.
· Nourishing and delighting its customers.
· Forming team member through profit and development.
· Creating continuing win-win partnership with its providers.
Whole food Market was considered with the key purpose to provide high-quality food product with higher nutrition to people. Whereby, other firms in food vending industry in the 2000s adopted their concept. However, Whole food market was the first firm to launch the concept of organic foods. Whole food industry upheld its competitive/inexpensive advantage within the business. As a result, the company market situation has steadied with higher demand of ordinary or natural food.
Industry
The whole food industry is the best leading company in manufacturing of organic and natural food. The development or growth of the industry is due to developing customer drive to live healthier and sustainable lives. The trend to living green has led to an increase in popularity of eating local organic food products. Also, customers are becoming much more hard working and careful of where their product is coming from, particularly in their food products (Market, 2017). This has triggered to a rise in demand for locally, sustainable and natural made food product. As a result, end-user sense of social accountability has caused this trend that impacts food product.
Growth/ Development
Whole foods Market Company have undergone speedy development since its establishment in 1980. The company extended its stock in Austin to 289 supplies in the year 2010. Over that duration/year, the company has made some acquisitions or achievement totaling up to 16. However, their most significant attainment was Wild Oats that became successful at the end, though there were many challenges in the road (Karimkhani, Huff, & Dellavalle, 2014). On the other hand, in 1991 whole food company went public and ever since, they have faced aggressive development policy by both growing and acquiring.
